Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, a Mexican-American sportscaster. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in 2016. She is the daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a journalist on television. Antonietta is native to two languages. Since she was nine years old, Collins's capacity to speak two languages has allowed her to get an employment in Miami as a production assistant at Univision. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was employed as a reporter by the CBS station as an sports reporter. After 2009, the news reporter relocated to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drug trafficking and immigration from both sides of the Mexico-Texas border, she was reporter for news for the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 at 5 pm. She was a news reporter with a news anchor in English at 9 pm and after which she became a news anchor until 10 pm, and then returned back to channel Spanish channel. In addition, she was an anchor for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Then she became the anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given more responsibility. She reported on events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor herself. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were born in Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985, in Mexico City. There is a sister. The family moved into Miami in 1992 after leaving Mexico. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother and she then remarried in 1995 a naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in the year 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, the younger Collins took a place with her older sister. Antonietta was the senior of her high school however, she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University in order to determine if they suited her. It was a beautiful campus as well as offered the level of education she sought. She graduated from school and was attended the university with an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. Mark Bergmann inspired her to believe in herself and also his love for journalism deeply influenced her, and she determined to live up to the expectations of him and not let him down.
